4-Way Kartway is located at: 4100 Hwy. 366 Loris SC 29569 Track is only 8 miles from Loris SC. and About 15 Miles from Conway SC.
Children under 7 years and Senior Citizens over 60 years Free. General Rules All drivers must wear proper racing gear at all times (helmet, neck brace, jacket, etc). No shorts or loose clothing allowed. - Disorderly conduct will not be tolerated, and will result in disqualification. Drivers are responsible for the actions of crew members. - Inspections areas, scale area, and scoring area are off limits during all race events. - The track reserves the right to tech any engine or kart at any time. Anyone refusing tech will be disqualified. - If a driver is disqualified or black flagged for any reason, he must exit the track immediately. If a crew member violates the conduct code, he must leave the premises immediately. - In case of a rain out after which qualifying have been completed, payouts will be according to the results of qualifying. - Any kart that can not proceed after 2 laps of caution must be immediately removed from the track. - All karts must have clear visible numbers, or will not be scored. - All weights must be bolted on with 5/16 or larger bolts and must be double nutted or cotter keyed. All weights must be painted white. If any weights come off a kart during a race that kart will be disqualified. - Anyone entering "hot area" i.e. scales after race the kart being represented will be disqualified - Drivers are solely responsible for all crew members at all times. No crew member will be allowed onto the track area without approval from track officials. Drivers will be subject to disqualification if any crew member does not follow the track rules or does not act in a proper manner. Crew members are not allowed to jump the fence at any time. It is the responsibility of every person in the pits to act in a sportsmanlike manner. - No cursing at officials, other racers, or spectators. No fighting. - Drugs or Alcohol will not be tolerated. Violations will result in removal from premises. - There will be a 5 minute hold for protest after crossing the scale. Do not leave the scale area until told to do so by the scale official. - Anyone not crossing the scales will be disqualified (qualifying or main). - All races we will attempt one "double file" start, then we will go "single file", after single file start, no caution , unless kart or driver is in danger. Deliberate spin or stopping on track to "bait" caution will result in disqualification. - If you are not on the grid and ready to race when your class is released onto the track, you will miss your event. If you are on the grid and experience a problem, you will have 2 laps to enter the track, after which the race will begin and you will not be allowed to enter. - While one race is on the track, the next class must be lined up on the grid, ready to go. - Decisions made by the flagman and/or race director are final. - If you cause 3 cautions in any event, you will be disqualified. - Stock super heavy drivers must weigh at least 200 lbs. -Super Super Heavy driver must weigh 230 pounds Kart and driver min. weight 430 pounds -If you run Amateur and win 4 races, you must move up to regular class. -HERE AT 4-WAY KARTWAY IF WE GET RAINED OUT BEFORE ALL CLASSES ARE QUALIFIED ALL ENTRY FEES ARE REFUNDED AND EVERYONE HAS A RAIN CHECK FOR THEIR ADMISSIONS FOR THE NEXT TIME 4-WAY KARTWAY IS OPEN. TECH RULES 1. ALL WKA ENGINE, GO KART TECH AND SAFETY TECH RULES APPLY, TRACK RESERVES THE RIGHT TO IMPLEMENT "LOCAL OPTION" RULES WITH PROPER NOTIFICATION. 2. MUFFLERS ARE OPTIONAL. LOOP HEADERS MUST BE WRAPPED! 3. $50.00 TO PROTEST AND $20.00 TO ACCEPT. 4. TRACK RESERVE THE OPTION TO CHECK THE PLATE.. 6. ANY DISORDERLY CONDUCT IN THE TECH AREA WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION. FLAGS AND LIGHTS FLAGS AND LIGHTS MUST BE OBEYED AT ALL TIMES WITHOUT QUESTION!!! - Green light / green flag = start of race or practice. - Yellow light / yellow flag = caution on track, slow down immediately. Hold your position and do not race back to flag. - Red light / red flag = come to a complete stop. - Blue flag with yellow stripe = another kart is about to overtake you. This flag means to go to the top of the track and out of the way. Any violations will result in disqualification. - White flag = one lap remaining - Black flag = remove your kart from the race, either you have been disqualified or your kart is too unsafe to continue racing. - Black flag rolled in flagman's hand = warning that your driving or actions are unsafe and will not be tolerated.
